italy football saga Juventus, Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina have been ordered to stand trial over match-fixing allegations. Italian football federation prosecutor Stefano Palazzi confirmed the four clubs will face questions over match-fixing allegations and demotion is a likely outcome if found guilty. Palazzi did not divulge the names of individuals, but said a number of sports figures would also be ordered to stand trial in the sports court. The trial is due to start next Wednesday at Rome's Stadio Olimpico, with the Italian federation keen to reach a conclusion in early July - allowing for the authorities and clubs to plan for next term.

The Italian FA has asked for all four clubs to be relegated with Juve being demoted to Serie C. Good possibility this may happen with more people becoming implicated. Should be some interesting transfers going on soon

I wouldnt be so sure this time as it is something more serious than has seen before. Plus the Italian FA has been quite strick before. Fiorentina, one of the clubs involved in this, has only been back in Serie A two seasons after being demoted to Serie C for fucking about behind the scenes
fiorentina were demoted fpor bankrupcy werent they?? poor financial status but they got back to serie a in two seasons and are already a strong team again so it wouldnt take the others long...if all four were to go to serie b...only 3 would be straight back
