Did Robert shout his mouth off and get dropped?

Total clearout at St James needed.

Bad night. If only we had of took one of our other chances. Not a bad team tbh though. Not looking forward to Sunday's game tbh. Dyer and Bowyer were both our best players tonight

newcastle were outclassed and will be again against man utd, they're a very very average team, the passing is none existent, skill factor is shit it seems to take them a year to control the ball and when they do they loose it, they rely on one main player all the time and once hes off were fucked.
o'brian is a fuckin joke, kluivert doesnt want to know, and tbh when we are loosing we dont have any player that you could rely on to pull something out of the bag lol
    have i missed anything? :)

its pathetic tho, so called profesional players that cant even control a ball or know where theyre gonna put the next pass  tbh we were given a footballing lesson by a far better team, its nothing to do with being an off night, ive never seen newcastle pass the ball round even half as well as sporting did tonight :)

for me it was simple what happened, the majority of the team looked ok, which was as good as could be expected given the circumstances. dyer was great, and had them 'pinned' if you will. the loss of dyer and introduction of ob meant a) with no dyer they no longer had to watch for the pace, and could push the back line high as hell. this alone wasnt such an issue, yeah, it brough them into the game more but on the whole i wasnt greatly worried, we looked as likely to score really. but now they were back in it (of course the fact kluivert looked extremely ineffective didnt help matters any, we had the chances, but not the end product...). the 'nail' for me was the introduction of ob. they now could push on as much as we could, and we had someone at the back prone to error... this combined to give them a very good shout, and once they took it we collapsed like a pack of cards.

    painful. :(

they do move the ball around well but im confident a full strength side of ours could beat them, it's just there style of football, really. admittedly it's far more entertaining but if you can pin a team like that, the smooth moves can ulimately lead to the downfall, clever passes intercepted and pacey players played through can tear them apart.
