    As much as i dont listen to any r1 shows.... Jules and Tong made good radio dj's....

    I'm guessing we arent getting any ess mixes from ibiza because its probably become a bidding war with any number of commercial stations around the world (most livesets i get are radio rips from us/australian/israeli stations)

    There are mixes just no sets from Jules or Tong.... I've read Tong's show is confirmed for Mambos though. :up:

    Radio 1 has to stay ahead of the game & getting rid of the old guard may be good.

    I just hope it doesnt become 1xtra2 as that would devalue 1xtra.

    Radio 1 have always sacked DJs, they once sacked Tony Blackburn & they give Rampling his orders last year.

    As long as the station doesnt employ people like Fergie i.e people with strong accents, so no Eddie 'As Lancashire as Bettys Hot Pot' Halliwell or Yousef. I also hope they dont make Radio1 into 1xtra2, as that would devalue 1xtra.

    that would be a nightmare!!


    the question is whether they are just replaceing the DJ's with others from the same music...or they totally want to chnage the music aswell as the DJ's

    thats what im thinking, just maybe with broader styles in one show rather than a show with 1 type of music all the way through.
    cant see them moving westwood or mateaser head's shows about much
