It can be quite easy to copy some old tunes by accident if you haven't come across them before, particularly older stuff - for example I was playing around with my VSTs a little while back simply holding down a D note and flicking through the sounds and I stumbled across the exact main riff out of Warp Brothers - Phatt Bass, thats just an Arp too. Same with some drum loops and percussive stuff too you can recognise them almost instantly
I've been playing this on 33 so long that it just sounds plain wrong at the correct speed. It's a lush warm up track at the wrong pitch like. And it lasts forever, so it's wicked if you haven't had time for a shit before getting to the club!
