Is it fair to say all hard house DJ's should be avoided?

With Promises current music policy I would say this is fair.

i dont think we should rule out the tidy boys though...the last few sets ive seen...whilst maintaining a HH sound, they have played wot i would say sounded like an 'old style signum' kinda trance sound.

im not a huge fan of out right HH yet i love the tidy boys cos of their style and i dont think if they played in promise they would sound out of place...look at eddie's last two tunes...both i would have thought would sound weird in promise yet they worked sooo sooo well!

how bout to please everyone promise could have one off nites for different styles...we could have prog nites to please the prog heads...hard nites with scot project and marco v n stuff for those that like it hard and then hard house/trance nites with they tidy boys and halliwell to please peeps that like it like this!

im not saying all the time, just sayin one offs every once in a while would work i think:)

its best on a nite like the eddie halliwell one where ya had a prog dj, then tulip, then sum hard trance to end it!that way the nite builds nicely n pulls every1 up2 a gud crack mood!

yeh n tall paul has neva impressed me, i wudnt like to c him there, n hardhouse wudnt really suit promise :)

i dont really like joy kitikonti n stuff, but the only time iv seen ppl like him/gabro fasarno or woteva theyv warmed up4 picotto which means wattered down picotto which means bad crack in my ears!

just more of the same wud b gud crack!

saw the tall one @ GK in ibiza and i have to agree, he bored the pants of me, maybe that had something to do with the fact he was warming up for tiesto and fergie!!

can't really think of any djs the club should avoid apart from the obvious HH pushers.

oh yeah, fucking DAVE PEARCE!! how much scum would it attract if they booked him!!!

Avoid Judge Jules. He attracts the wrong crowds and he's an egotistical moron who plays cheese.

I am not a big fan of hard house at all, but Anne Savage can play both incredible hard house and hard trance.

I saw her at the milennium dome on new years eve, as she outperformed Ferry Corsten and Tiesto as she rocked a 46,000 attended party. Download her liveset from audiogalaxy from the Dome. She is class. I agree on Lisa Lashes though, she interacts with the crowd a little too much, rather than concentrate on the music.

    You should definitely get:

    Scot Project
    Anne Savage
    Kai Tracid

    You should avoid:

    Judge Jules
    Dave Pearce

He would still fill the place though. :p

I missed him last time cos i was living in York last year and couldnt get up that weekend. :(

I think prog djs should still be booked as the headliner if they are a huge name guaranteed to pull in the numbers. Otherwise just put them on early like is being done most weeks. :)

I agree with Sloppy think tidy boys play all this tidy trance everybody loves... of course at the heart of it is hard house... but how good was halliwell... the hard house he played at the end of his ste didn't seem hard housey...

I think as a one of the tidy boys might work... But they are bouncey hard house at the end of the day even if they do drop a lot of hard trance tunes... but then eddie halliwell was branded a hard house dj till crasher fame.

I don't think there is a dj promise should avoid as the ones I don't like often work... take seb fontaine - he was good news for the club - pulled a huge crowd... just not to my liking.

Fudge Jules attracts crowds, but does he attract the right crowds?

Most people into judge jules tend not to be into trance music, because they've heard the cheese he plays on radio one and think he's great.

Foundation is tiny, it's not like they have trouble filling the place. No need to resort to cheesy DJs just to fill it. There is such a thing as dignity.

As for Dave Pearce, don't get me started on him!
