Internet Probs When i use Firefox as my IE on me PC it generally gets to the point more or less every time i am on then net where it just freezes then it just says that the selected site cannot be found. When the old PC was on this connection i never had any probs, i know that there's probs as well cos Soulseek tends to freeze then disconnect as well as Msn Msgr as well. When i look at the Modem it seems to be ok as well, not offline or anything like that - anyone any ideas ?!?! Good to see me new PC btw bringing me nee problems I thought at first it maybe my firewall or summit else thats installed but it cant be really. Cheers
One other point that springs to mind - have you disabled Windows firewall? That can cause probs too. Do the right-clicking properties thingy on the connection and it's in the middle tab.
Why when i turn the firewall off and AVG does it now work nee bother, net comes on all time and doesnt pause/switch off ?!?! I have looked in the options of both of them and cant find anything that might of been a problem Cheers
You can't have Windows Firewall on at the same time as another firewall, if that's what you're meaning - so turn off Windows Firewall and leave Sygate on
