    Installing updates on a server

I never read the little bit that says "known issues with this update" etc etc on my pc.

However with a company server it's a little more important.

Theres about 10 updates waiting to be downloaded and installed on one of our servers..

Obviously I want to do it, but wanting some advice from people who have done this loads before...

Is there anything I need to check first etc?

    Cheers!

Make sure you have your server recovery disks up to date, do a full backup - and get ready to roll back if it goes tits up

Another good idea: google the hotfix or patch numbers, and see if anyone else has had problems with it. If they have, the first place they will winge is usually on the net

I assume your server is set up not to download the updates automatically... good idea :D
