IMPORTANT: Scam please read!!!! Or prepare to be RIPPED!

PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO PREVENT THEM BEING RIPPED OFF TOO, ESPECIALLY WITH THE RUN UP TO XMAS....THERE'S NOTHING WORSE THAN YOUR GRAN GETTING RIPPED OFF!

The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam:

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 03066611911 (a premium rate number).

DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize.

If you call the number and you start to hear the recorded message you will have already been billed £15 for the phone call.

If you do receive a card with these details please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 02072396655 or ICSTIS (the premium rate service regulator) at:-

    www.icstis.org.uk

or your local trading standards office. This is a genuine scam and is under investigation.

    THANK YOU...XXXXX

I wouldn't even think about it tbh. I'd just ring it and I'm sure alot of people would.

Royal mail doesn't.. bastards. I'd much prefer if they'd leave stuff with a neighbour instead of making me collect it.

That annoys the tits off me like, I needed something urgently once and it went down the depot. It said I should leave 48hrs before collecting and this was a friday so I wouldn't get it until the Monday! only when Monday came i realised it was a bank holiday so I had to wait until the Tuesday haha. It makes it not worth getting it first class.:spangled:

Fair enough where in some areas, knocking on your neighbours door and asking for your parcel would result in a kick in the bollocks and a knee in the nose. There should be an option when ordering stuff so people can choose if they're happy with things getting left with a neighbour imo.
