I'm packin in the tabs........ again

been meaning to do this for ages n ages and time has come to bite the bullet........ hopefully will be easier this time for 2 reasons

1. I've got about £50 to last me til 28th August and fancy seeing morillo in manchester on the 26th, amongst other things.

2. i've got this monster throat infection, hurts like hell even talking and smoking tabs feels like dragging barbed wire up and down me throat, so I aint had a smoke since this morning.

....oh, and I'm planning going to climb a couple mountains in scotland with dawg in sept/oct and there's no way I'm having that southern puff showing me up on the hills

If I can't pack the evil smoke in this time I might as well give up the idea.

best of luck mate.. i usually try every couple of months and fail. longest i've gone in 4 years is 3 weeks

are u gonna use patches or try that new drug zyban or whatever its called?

confuzzled - i'm using the patches, they worked a treat couple years ago, I packed in for about 6mths, but then started again

Tried the zyban as well a while back, but didnt manage to kick the habit. I reckon they work about as well as the patches in keeping the craving down.... but u get the maddest dreams ever on that stuff..... really vivid and crazy shit going...... tis like tripping when ya asleep....... wake and and go "WTF was all that shit about??????????"

Good luck with packing in smoking, its really hard to do though isnt it. I have tried loads of time but always end up starting again. Although I have got down to smoking only 20 a week now and that mainly when I am out on the drink.
