Re: if i have norton Go to the security centre in the control pannel and set virus protection to not monitored. That should sort it out. I'm still working on that pm btw.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: if i have norton Ok.. open security centre.. what options are available to you? There should be 3 options.. Firewall Automatic Updates Virus Protection.. If you click on the 3 downward arrows on the right hand side of virus protection it should expand.. Click on recommendations..
it's not set out like yours but there are 4 options internet options automatic updates norton security centre windows firewall
yes...got it up now & it says no virus protected detected on the top line with a clicky button to press for solutions to that
it tells me to click a link to get protected & then it offers to sell me..... i can't get the link to work
Did your subscription to norton run out? If so.. try uninstalling then reinstalling norton.. But only if you have to. But before you try that.. right click on the norton icon and see if you can enable auto-protection.. I'm running 98 here so I'm kinda doing this blind
erm...i don't think so...i bought a pack when i bought my lappy but didn't install it til about 2 or 3 weeks ago
Your gonna but try restarting the laptop.. This sometimes used to happen at work for no apparent reason too.. Also.. do you have Word on the machine your using? (completely unrelated..)
it's coming up evertime i switch my lappy on so it's not that...will try uninstalling & re-installing i tagain yup...it has some fancy things on word too
I really don't like norton. I've been using 98 since.. erm 98.. and its been fine! The reason I asked about word was cos I'm gonna have to send you a word file to help you with ripping the footage off the dvd and uploading it.. I've also got a few programs for ya too! Bet you wish you'd never asked..
