    I-pod bother

my gf has had an i-pod for about a year and was using my computer to put songs on it with no problems using a usb 2.0 cable...

I have recently got an i-pod and tryed to install it...however when i tplug the i-pod in as it asks it just doesnt seem to detect that its plugged in???

i have removed i tunes software and tryed to reninstall it but still no joy...any ideas?

right click on my computer and goto properties
    goto hardware
    click on device manager

any yellow exclamation on the USB stuf?

if there is delete them and restart!

try that....also have u tried different usb ports and a different cable? cud be ports or cable knackered?

and does your gf's ipod still work in ur pc with same cable?

Create your playlists in winamp, then drop them into iTunes.
