    I need some inspiration here

Tommorow, as part of my college course 'my' group are in charge of rigging the theatre/managing the play that a few of the actors have devised. My job is Sound op so basically i'm in charge of getting all the relevant sound effects and music. The play is about all the negative elements of society in present day such as charvas, muslims, tramps etc as seen by a priest, rich business men, working class people. IMO the play is a load of bollocks and the acting skills are dire and boring but I have to do my job as well as i can regardless.

I'm a bit stuck with intro music. I don't know whether or not to stick on some classic boring intro music consisting of strings and piano or maybe some modern stuff from the charts. I'd prefer a song with some relevance to the play but i really don't know of much cos my musical tastes consist of trance, hard house and drum and bass mainly

Please offer me your suggestions

the new trentemoller album is quite good atmospheric sort of stuff,

the older orb stuff is worth checking too

    Cheers.. I'll have a listen.

I was thinking something a bit depressing would be fitting seeing as the nature of the play is about everyones prejudice towards stereotypes

The play shows the reactions of charvas watching a news report of a bombing and then shows a muslims reaction to it just before she's about to leave for work.

tey out some early dj shaddow stuff the dark and moody sound with a bit of synth here and there would be great and i'll bet 80% of the crowd would never have heard it

Too late. We did the show yesterday :p

    Cheers tho.

Intro tune was Riders On The Storm (For 20 seconds before the vocals kicked in) as suggested by someone here :D

Mid-way tune for a scene was Clubbed To Death, and the ending tune was a jakarta one that i didn't bother using after all.
