I have a silly woman at my door..

She's trying to blag us into changing phonelines and internet. She says she can offer us up to 8mb broadband with a 40gb limit per month ("not capped" - just a letter of warning if the limit is reached) for £20 per month.

What do you reckon? Our current internet is shite and has a speed cap during peak hours for heavy users like me.

40gb = 1.3gb per day and i know sometimes i do more than this in bit torrent if i see a few movies or tv shows. I think i'd probably live though :p

it's talk talk.. apparently they've just taken over AOL.

I've told my mam to just go ahead and try it cos this one is shit at the best of times. I don't pay the bills so i can't really tell my mam no to a deal that's cheaper.

    I hope it's ok :s

    NOOOOOOO

i work in citizens advice - they are not the best!!!!!

they take forever to set up and have extra charges, they also are a mare to get through too and you cant cancel properly

but the choice is still yours do some more informed research

they may have improved their service levels

fuck. My mam has just signed up and i've just read some reviews. And they also have a fair use policy AKA limited speeds in peak hours which the stupid sales bitch told me didn't exist :(

    I might just cry.

You're probably better off going with a small company if you're wanting to download alot. It'll cost you more per month like.

I would never go with AOL. EVER. The problems people had with them, when I worked at the bank. No way, robbing bastards.

both AOL and Wannado blocked my pc so i coould no longer use it

i still cant use I.E on my pc now its blocked by wannado

i luckily managed to get firefox (which is a 1000 times better anyway) downloaded on it after so everything works through that

anything i had on the pc before the wannado 'wreck' i cant use - so edonkey and certain windows media programs

    crap

What do you all recommend then? It cant cost a fortune cos like i said my parents pay for it as it's a family pc.

I fucking hate it when you get told a load of bullshit from sales people who blatently haven't been told any details about what the service offers. You get a 30 day trial period according to the website so if it's terrible i'll be straight on the phone to some indian fucker telling him to sort it out.
