Hughton Sacked.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/9261212.stm Well done Ashley, you fat fucking muppet
Hughton Sacked Just been informed at work, Absolutle fools, Yes your only a few points of the relegation zone but only a few points off 5th place. No money to spend a squad needing some additions. Who will want to go there with the current history of how they treat their managers? "Newcastle United have parted company with manager Chris Hughton following a recent dip in the team's fortunes. The Magpies were beaten 3-1 at West Brom on Saturday, a week after holding Chelsea to a 1-1 draw, although that result followed a 5-1 defeat at Bolton. Hughton guided Newcastle back into the Premier League this season after their relegation in the 2009-10 campaign. Newcastle are currently 11th in the top flight, with five wins from 16 games - only two of those coming at home. Rumours that the ex-Spurs defender was set to leave the club began circulating several weeks ago. "
Unless he has a huge replacement lined up - which I doubt, I'd go as far to say as this could be our biggest mistake since sacking Bobby Robson. I'm absolutely gutted. He's had no money to spend yet brought us striaght back up from relegation, gained players respect and we've been sat top half of the Premiership for the better part of the season. We've been plauged by injuries and suspensions lately so were bound to struggle on occasions given the distinct lack on money available? I'm lost for words.
How fucking dare he sack Hughton, is Ashley sick of being ignored again or something? We were progressing under Hughton, albeit slowly but we still were. And we were going to stay up, I would have put my fucking balls on the line for that. What a fucking joke, unless O'neill is appointed, back down to the championship we go.
I doubt O'Neil would go to Newcastle, He wasn't happy at Villa because of decisions being made above him, He wouldn't stick his neck on the line with Ashley in charge surely?
fuck sake man, he wants a more experienced manager? who on earth is experienced enough but stupid enough to take the job? does the clone not know you only get experience from doing the job and hughton looked potentially a top manager if we'd just kept with him. oofan:
JESUS All local rivalries aside for a moment this is a shocking decision IMO. If anyone had offered any NUFC fan or even Ashley or the board to be in 11th place approaching Christmas they should have (and would have) taken it in a heart beat. Made a steady start to the season after stopping the rot big style last year and winning promotion on a shoe string while balancing the books in the process, and this is how he is paid back. Hes brought stability to the club for the first time in 5+ years since maybe Robson left? Now bring rivalries back into it..... I would be WOUNDED if you got O'Neill.
And by the way it's Hughton not Houghton FFs! Someone change it, it's nearly as annoying as Fat Mike.
http://www.paddypower.com/football/football-specials/manager-specials?ev_oc_grp_ids=56775,56775 steve bruce is 40/1 to be next manager.
Totaly mental all you need now is risdale to join ashley on the board. Bet Denis wise has something to do with it.
Interesting post here from a poster on the SMB called Ceefax Cat 2 - he has been proved right time & time again to have contacts in the footballing world. "yesterdays victory over west ham means grant will be sacked before xmas. Nufc want first pick of manager - and they want pardew. wally downes has just gone to west ham and worked with pardew at reading and southampton - grant was given three games to save his skin. Pardew was 100% sounded out a month ago for nufc and two weeks ago for whufc." He rarely posts on the board but when he does hes normally 99% bang on with what hes saying and hes the only 'in the know' poster with any respect on there. Make of that what you will............
