    it's been a while since I looked at one, last time I did they were prone to overheating and were very noisy.

    Nothing you probably couldn't solve with some custom case vents :wink:

    I'd love one but I think I'll wait until they're a bit more mainstream/cheaper. It would be my luck to get one that overheats or breaks after 2 months.

    so what networks can you pick up with one of these? just the freeview channels?

    Whatever the TV card supports I suppose. Some support pay channels but i'm not sure what that means.. probably Setanta and stuff.

    it depends on the cards you fit to it.

    I've got two freeview tuners here, but I've seen satellite and even HD cards for sale.

    The better they are, the more expensive they tend to be....

    ive been using one for about 2/3 years, i was using a dvb-s card from hauppauge to receive satellite channels and watch em through media player, theyre smart as fuck and canny tidy. u can get some decent hardware in em to run anything ya like. try zalman htpc cases theyre quality.

    zalman stuff is absolutely mint, end of.

    I've got one of their passive coolers for my processor and it doesn't have any fans - keeps it at 38C too :love:
