How much do you drink?

    How much do you drink?

    Carrying on from the previous alcohol related threads, lets see if we do have any alcohlics amongst us!

    How many units in the past week have you drank?

    The recommended weekly amount is 28 units for men and 21 women btw

    I drink at least dble that on a night out, 1 bottle bud is about 1.5 units

    2 Bottles of wine between 2 people once a week - I drink about 60% of that.... hmmm dunno what that is ... 5-6 glasses or something, probably the whole weeks limit in one go :rolleyes:

    I've just this minute come out of the doctors and she told me that I need to stop drinkin cos I've damaged my liver:(

    She wasnt a happy bunny when she realised I drank over three times the recomended amount a week..........I blame it on workin in a pub....

    ........anyone up for a pint??! :D

    Bottle of wine is about 10 units depending on how strong it is, usually says how many units it is on the bottle these days, try drinking 10 pint cans of stella, each can is 3 units haha

    I dont drink very much at all, i only really drink on a night out but couldnt tell you how many units:confused:

    2002 Government White Paper on Alcohol page 10 bottom of the left hand column.

    It used to be 21/14 but they increased it. Its now a daily intake of 4 units for men and 3 for women, which equates to what i said.

    Some where around a 110 units but it might be more as i have no idea wot i drank between 12-3 on friday nite

    i can't be arsed/don't know mine cos i had so many diff drinks/shots on sat that it'd be way too hard to work out!

    1 unit is 10 ml alcohol, so multiply the size of the drink by its alcohol by volume, knock a zero off and you have its unitary content. For example, a 35 ml shot of spirit at 40 percent contains (35*.4)/10 = 1.4 units.

    Handy to know the content per unit money of drinks when attempting to get pissed on a limited budget :) best I have seen is cider, 3 pounds for 22.5 units, closely followed by a 4 pack of Tenants super, 3 pounds for 18 units.

    Dont say an a in maths and further maths isnt worth anything :)
