and people want to use azureus as a client in favour of shareaza / BT etc, its the best program although it can be processor hungry at times due to it being a java client.

    http://azureus.sourceforge.net

Azureus is the client of choice...definately

Download this SafePeer plugin too for Azureus

basically - this remotely updates with servers to keep your "block list" up2date...

the block list is a list of known "naughty" ip's...so it wont send any data to them..cos if u send data to them, ur breakin the law....

so this plugin refuses connections from these host's

they are things liek record companies, movie companies, law enforcement ppl etc...

www.suprnova.org - look for the stuff with the highest number of seeds...and lowest number of downloads.......

shud be nice n fast.......u ever had decent speeds off it?

try specifying another port to listen on (TCP and UDP).......

ur ISP may well be throttling that port (limiting speeds)....

Azureus works a treat in Linux also, tis what I use

Lol - yeah slackware basically leaves everything to the user to configure...thats why the purists love it, cos they build it how THEY want it...lazy ppl like me need most of it already done for em
