How can we attract new members

Seeing as the theme of the board this week seems to be 'change' how exactly can we attract new members?

I mean we have attracted a few recently. Sean & Hoss spring to mind straight away, I don't think anyone knows them off here do they? So how did they find out about it?

Hearing people say it has no purpose is laughable, its a clubbing message board ffs , the majority of posters are involved in the club scene in one way or another, whether it be promoting, Djing, producing or just clubbing itself, we've got the lot

One suggestion is that every night that promotes itself on here should agree to displaying the URL on all their flyers. It won't cost much if any more money and wouldn't harm anyone would it?

i've never done this actually, i have a don't talk about the board policy when i'm not on it for some reason

i put a link to the board on my myspace page if everyone does that i'm sure there be more people joining up.

up the level of sophisticated debate and attract the guardian crowd

Im not sure we are fully prepared for an emo invasion.

I used to go on the Guardian debate forum - great fun!

I think the flyer idea is best

You'd have to have a fair mix of flyers though, ie not just all trance or all house, do a couple on different kinds of nights.

i found a warmer reception at stormfront.org... antisemite central over that way.

How about Jess and the girls advertising at the next junior g or sommit?

Exclusive mixes (i.e available from this site only) - I think that the good local Dee Jays wouldnt mind doing an exclusive mix in exchange for advertising, maybe those Habit boys could sort something here.

Also, why not offer a discount on events if your a member on here? Again, some of lovely regulars could help here me thinks?

After all, if members have an incentive to come on here, they will contribute and keep coming back etc etc.

I thought someone suggested getting the nights that already advertise on here just to include a small tag line on the bottom of their flyers.

That wouldn;t cost anyone any extra time/money/effort really.
