Do you mean drum hits and stuff? If so then Vengeance packs are decent I picked up a DVD of drum hits off ebay a couple of years ago..covered the 808, 909, 606, SR-16 and loads more..was only about £4
Thats what im after mate aye, have been on ebay though there isnt much on tbh, unless im wanting to make drum & bass or industrial speedcore Theres a few that ive seen that are fairly pricey (£50+), and i dont mind paying the coin as long as what im getting is good so thought i would ask around for opinions before doing so.
If you ask me searches for genre specific sample packs are usually a waste of time. Just get your standard percussion etc and build up around that using VST's and the other samples you'll come across. I heard what I thought were some good tech house sounds in Reason 4s Thor yesterday though.
You fucking owe me one. Edit: PASS: AudioZ
agree with that for all other percussion but the kicks in Vengeance are top notch and well worth getting. Creating a kick from scratch (layering / compressing / eq'ing etc etc) is an art in itself and is only really worth doing if you have top notch monitoring facilities imo.
tbh you could also just sample a percussion loop from a track and build on that, depends what you want really.
Cheers Rossy, that was one of the ones i had seen actually Ill get you a beer next weekend at Recycled mate Cheers for the advice Si, ill defo check out the Vengeance packs too
