    Hotels/Venues Help

Dunno if any of you can help me out, but Im doing something for work and Im SICK of searching google. Do any of you know of any hotel/conference venues in the area, that are quite posh, preferrably in the countryside with grounds to do activities? Doesnt have to be countryside if it has plenty of land. Actually this isnt totally neccessary since the stuff we wana do(k arting/paintballing etc) can be done elsewhere. When I say in the area, I just mean North East, so T&W, Durham, Northumberland etc. Any suggestions really. Examples Ive used before are Longhirst Hall in Morpeth, Derwent Manor in Consett and Redworth Hall in Durham. Im looking at Lumley Castle...

    Cheers, if anyone can recommend

Seaham Hall is really posh, maybe a little too posh for you people from Washington. It's also about a half a mile from paintballing and karting. It has a sea view and has oriental spa etc.

    Check it.

The famous poet Lord byron used it as a holiday home and got married there in the 19th century.

    Cool!

It's one of the best hotels in the north east. A lad I know works there and when Oasis were staying there, when they played at Newcastle arena, liam said to him, "I didn't think Newcastle had places this nice". The lad didn't bother correcting him by saying this isn't Newcastle.

Yeah, it is. Ryhope is on the outskirts of Sunderland and Seaham borders Sunderland.

Seaham has a bad name but if you went to Seaham Hall you'd think it was a lovely place. That part of seaham is really nice, it's all coast and it doesn't really have much housing or anything near.
