With winter closing in we look forward to November 26 when we return to the Other Rooms for our final Hooked of 2006. After another storming night with Henrik B causing some serious techno damage on three decks, we will be welcoming Jericho records main man Jel Ford for another Newcastle debut.

A Dj for over 15 years, Jel started out playing a sunday night afterhours night in 1991. Since then his own distinct brand of funky techno with a smattering of house has seen him play at many of the respected techno nights around the UK and Europe.

As a producer he has had releases on ELP, Primate, Tortured and Rotation as well as on his own label, Jericho which has also boasted releases from the likes of Marco Bailey, Dave Angel, Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch, DJ Misjah, Hardcell and Christian Smith. Recent releases have seen him team up with Oscar Charlie on Jericho and as Generation Gap on the Excentric label. Before the collapse of Prime distribution, Jel was head of Artist / Label management, a role which he now continues to work in at ELP Distribution.

Jel will be spinning an exclusive 2 hr set for the first time in the Newcastle with support from Hooked residents Chris Littlewood and Andy Gordon.

Which I am desperately looking forward too after the last few weeks. No doubt the run up to X-Mas will be the same and see me declare bankruptcy with some quality talent at The Other Rooms and Shindig.
