    Hifi festival full line-up announced

    www.hififestival.com for the full line-up.

Armin, Oakie, sasha and Ian Brown for me. Not the best line-up i've ever seen but should be a decent event nonetheless!!

Just looked at the line-up for the south event and it pisses all over the north one - ferry, jules, marco v, hardwick, sander van doorn, dave clarke, plumps, scratch perverts, carl cox, tidy boys, rob tissera and glazby - might aswell pay the £99 and do it properly!!!!

If you click the link then click 'north' or 'south' and then 'line-ups' it should take you there.

Fucking hell. The first proper festie up here on our doorstep and we're complaining already. Yeah, the line-up's not as good as expected and compared to the South we may have drawn the short straw but the event can only be as good as we make it. If we're not even there yet and we're complaining, what's it gonna be like when we arrive??

I'll be there, and I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts 'cos from past experience's of the North trying to put on an electronic music event this might be the only one we'll have (if the residents stuck in the fucking 1920's get their way  )

    I'd pay about £30-35 for that line-up I think - 52.50 is a joke.

The bands line-up is pretty sparse? For fifty quid, I'd want to see somene bigger headlining there, if only to encourage more of my non-dance liking friends to go?

the line up was announced yesterday? give it a chance

maximo park, ian brown, subways, editors, forward russia, ycim & the research, thats nearly £70/£80 single ticket value alone...

not to mention sasha, digweed, lawler, soulwax, slam, zabelia, tong, morillo, masiello, layo & bushwacka, audio bullies, linus loves, alkan, headman and the glimmers...

armin van burren is a very bizzare booking though

Loads of people will go for Armin alone I think - I don't quite see how he fits in to a set time list though   Maybe him and oakey will have midnight - 4, with sasha, diggers and zabiela on before...

Still, like you say, theres more live acts to be annouced, so we'll see :)

Plus Riley and Durrant! They'll warm up for Armin most likely.

It depends on what you like though. I'd rather have Saha, Diggers, Lawler, etc on than Jules, Fergie, Ferry, etc. It's only on for one day aswell, not speard over 2 days like the Southern one

It's all about people's taste. I'm not complaining, having a festival on our doorstep will be class. Just for my own music taste it's dispointing as the southern line-up, ie a trance and hard dance tent as well as better bands, is more appealing than the prog, tech, house dominated arena's at the northern one.
