help me and mick recorded a new mix on NYE but for some reason it won't play? i'm getting 'Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.' anyone?
did it record as mp3 or wav ? its downloading VLC player, it'll play pretty much anything you hoy in it. an uphill decline
uh oh! was lloking forward to having that set in my car - would probs get to the end of it when my grandchild turns 18
it was more than that mate, i thought it was over 5? 6 hours of banging funky techno in WAV format's gotta take up some room Dan, Download soundforge and try putting it through that. i'm sure it should pick it up. if you can't get it i think i've got the torrent for it somewhere
Im guessing to open a file that big would need a shit load of the pcs memory, Maybe if you can open it up in soundforge and split it into one hour chunks???
see if VLC will play it. sounds like it's fucked to me. IF it's on a disk formatted with FAT32 - that doesn't like files over 4GB
I recorded my last mix in WAV format and the size was ridiculous - and that was only 80 mins Id defo give a go of converting to mp3 before trying to play it
I'll be able to convert it, it's just gettin hold of it. I'll pop up this weekend fella. Only thing is it'll be another week or so till i get my whole setup sorted in this new place.
