    Help!!!!

    Dear Geeks,

I have a Microsfof Wirless Optical Mouse which is no longer working, a messge comes up "New Hardware Found" HIDI-COMPLIANT. I go with what it sugests but it says fatal install error. I have plugged a bogged standard mouse in that does not work. I have done a system restore which made no difference.

I have got my wireless mouse & keyboard backing not sure how really. I am on XP.

But when I log in now I get "New Hardware Found", "HID COMPLIANT DEVICE" I select use recommended. Then it pops up with "Confirm File Replace", "Source: C:Windows\system32\DRIVERS\SET93.tm", Target: C:Windows\system32\DRIVERS\hidserv.dll"

Ask to overwrtie newer file I have selected no & yes & I get: "HID Non-User Input Data Filter", "Fatal error during installtion". I thn click finish.

I then go through the same loop as above & FUCK ME IT SAYS IT HAS NOW INSTALLED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

My PC must have known I was calling in back up.

But it doesnt ask again, so I am guessing 1 part is sorted but the above is not. Any ideas?

Does it appear in the Device Manager after all the errors have been closed?
