Sounds like CD is knackered Rach!

Try taking it out n giving it a clean.

Or try on sum1 elses PC (sum drives have better lasers than others or read certain brands of disc better  )

    Sumtimes anyway!

has it got a long file name? it could be comething like that.

i'd open a ms-dos prompt, change to the cdrom drive then type something along the lines of :

copy <complete file name in EXACTLY how it's listed, with correct extension> c:\<a simpler file name, with correct extension> for example :

copy paris hilton grot video.mpeg c:\grot.mpg

    :D

open an ms-dos prompt, change to the cdrom drive, by typing d: or e: depending what you cdrom drive is. Get into the folder and type DIR that will list the file and give it's ms-dos name....

    THEN type COPY <ms-dos file name> c:\<new, shorter file name> ... it's a suggestion... :D
