    Help finding a location.

I'm starting to get into pre-production for a music video for a band and i'm looking for a forrested area that is quite dense and appears secluded but is actually really easy to get the crew to and relatively close to Newcastle.

Also looking for a grand "special" looking tree (could be in a different location to the first location) that is surrounded by greenery. In an ideal world we'd have one built (like the tree from Pans Labyrinth or Sleepy Hollow but less stylised) but this is a no budget affair.

Any one know of anywhere I could check out?

    Chopwell Woods?

Heaton Park has some proper foresty bits. You could even shoot some of the footage next to the legendary Shoe Tree

If you can get up to Otterburn then theres some quality forest clearings up there.

Haha, funnily enough the Shoe tree was actually the inspiration for the videos concept, and a shoe tree will appear at the end of the video. Not the one in Heaton tho, we're making our own from scratch if we can find the "special looking tree" (Of course we'll cut them all down afterwards)

Cheers for the suggestions so far, any more would be great.

I'll make a list of any suggestions then check them all out over the next week or so.

a bit further to travel, but humford woods (bedlington) has some nice spots, and an easy access car park right in the middle as well

not sure of any special tree's though, i dont have time to pay that kind of attention when im on the bike :D
