bad crack that like, suppose this will give the dark night cult status and shift more sales so the film producers will be loving it.

    Sad sad news like.

He was just starting to pull some genuinely brilliant performances out the bag.

Despite the film being massively overrated he was quality in Brokeback Mountain. He was also mint in Brothers Grimm and was supposed to be doing some class work as the Joker.

He could have been one of the greats of his generation.

    RIP :(

Yeah, sad news - i really liked him in the brothers grimm - and he looks class as the joker.

    Terrible terrible news :(

Celebrity culture is absolutely nuts at the moment - makes you wonder just what it must be like inside these peoples heads to make them want to do stuff like this.

He was a class actor as well. Gutted.

Yeah he's died and it's sad etc.

But would anyone be saying he's that good if he was still alive? Fair enough I've not seen Brokeback, so can't comment on that, and it's not like they just give out Oscar nominations for nothing. But... no one's seen Batman yet, Brothers Grimm was a shit film and he was pretty average in it, he was crap in Ned Kelly, Casanova's pretty shabby, and a Knight's Tale is entirely forgettable. As far as I know, the rest of his career is mainly really supporting roles and bit parts.

Hardly 'top of his game' or a 'great of his generation'?

textbook frenchie, although you lost points for not berating brid for his 'terrible' remark

    overall - 8/10 - all too predictable

I specificly avoided using Brid's 'class' in the last sentence so as to give him a break :(

And anyway, it was a genuine question. If he had come up in discussion for reasons other than his death, I doubt he'd be getting this glowing praise.
