i wouldnt be cutting corners getting a cheap pair then m8 , best off aiming for something a bit more top spec for best results, u can often pick up sounds/noises/ etc alot better on a decent pair , cant go too wrong with a pair of THESE if u can afford em !!!

those sonys are alright but i guarantee you will break them within 6 months...the build quality is pish

if you want to be a big hitter then get some HD25's (not the HD25SP)

nah i had 500's, then listened to my mates 700's there's a huge difference in sound quality, the cups on the 700's are larger aswell, I stil prefer my sennheisers over both though. :)

new mdv700's have been re-designed around the pivot point to stop them cracking

i love the feel of my mdv700s, i've bust both ear cups but with a little inventive repair work they're as good as new, if sometimes a little heavy

Buy the most expensive headphones you can afford, especially if they're for studio use. Top end Sennheisers and Beyerdynamics are probably best for studio use. The Sony v7506 are a fantastic pair of headphones, but you'll have to get an imported pair off Ebay as they're not retailed over here.

I have HD25s and I love them. I used to use the Pioneer 1000s and they're shite, as are the Sony 700s.
