    Having some basic PC problems

Firstly, my screen size is too big. And I don't mean the old ctl-run the mouse button down. How do I change my screen size?

Secondly, I recently got the new Norton put on my computer and all of a sudden my computer couldn't run any slower! Anyone help with this?

    Cheers

Right Click the Desktop, select Properties, Settings then change the 'Screen Resolution'

Norton is known for using lots of system resourses... if it's a works machine, they probably won't let you take it off

    Cheers for that.

Next problem - When my screen scrolls down it flicks down really annoyingly instead of just moving down. Any ideas?

Yes, on IE pages. Just tried that but didn't work. Was already on 1 line at a time.

sometimes it's the 'centre button' (depress the scroll wheel) that can be dodgy. Try a different mouse at some point, see if it does the same

As for Norton.. I presume you have bought the 2006 IS..

I run Anti Virus 98 and Firewall 98.. and my machine is still pretty nippy..

Have a look around and see if you can get these anywhere.. I'd highly recommend it.

I've seen loads of machine slow to crawling pace once the newer versions of norton have been put on..

you have some sort of virus mate.

thats exactly what happened to mine a few weeks ago.

    klusky (fiddla) sorted it out!

you have to put some special code in the run program, on your start bar.
    then it will be unblocked
