Hatton was very very VERY lucky. I honestly thought Collazo had won it.. and by a comfortable margin. If Hatton does get at shot at Mayweather in the next few fights he better improve cos on that performance Mayweather would wipe the floor with him. Fingers crossed lessons will be learned from this.. Hopefully he won't have to change his style much. Although.. Mayweather isn't a southpaw and therefore his style would suit Hatton more than Collazo's. I've been left more confused than confident after this fight
To go up a weight andfight the champion,whos a southpaw is just stupid IMO. He deffo needs more fights under his belt, Ive watched hatton for a while and its the first time ive seen him slow down. Collazo was the better of the two, hattonjust didnt have the fury he was gettin himon the ropes and clinching him throughout didnt have the killer punch.
He looked as though the jump up in weight got to him in this fight . Collazo is not a big puncher but he hurt ricky a good few times in this fight and if thats what a weaker puncher in this division can do what will he be like with harder hitters .... Hes the best out there in his divivsion but if he wants to fight higher up hes going to need to adapt top the weight a lot better in his next fight ..... pretty even fight tbf but hatton won it just ... he was nearly outa there in the last couple of rounds like !
