Hatton will take him quite easily if mayweathers last fight is anything to go on, the stand back and job approach will do fuck all against hatton, he's a brawler and will just get inside and pummel him, can't wait for this fight though

hatton looked unconvincing at welterweight, and i was of the opinion he would be the same, looking fat and again unable to show his quality at that weight, so i was pleased to read today that hatton will go into the fight as a light welterweight, fighting a welterweight, which i think will mkae for the best bout. hatton has a ferocious attack, gets right in people's faces and chops them down with body shots. mayweather is noted for 'hitting without being hit' and will try to counter hatton - but hatton has shown he has a good jaw (cuts like a paper bag though, of course) and i think he might just get under mayweather's skin enough to finally do some damage to the 'pretty boy'. great fight in prospect though, really could go either way. and if hatton does win, it will confirm his place as one of the best boxers of our generation, which would be nice to see.
I cant see Hatton winning at all. Mayweather beat De La Hoya who is a lot bigger, a much better boxer technically and also a brawler like Hatton. De la hoya isnt that old and he isnt as far past his prime as people make out - he destroyed a dangerous fighter in 6 rounds (Ricardo Mayorga) not long ago! Personally i think Mayweather will win via a 12 round decision and the fight will be similar to the Baldomir fight, only closer. Hatton's one dimensional style wont be enough to beat someone as gifted as Mayweather. But id be loving it if Hatton shuts the gobby prick up once and for all!
