Yes Hamilton did gain a place by using the escape, but he then slowed back immediately to let Kimi through, yet he still gets penalised after the race. Two weeks ago there was 2 extremely dangerous pit incidents with Ferrari, one resulting in a pit mechanic being hospitalised, and the other nearly taking out another car, and all they got was one fine of 10k (a drop in the ocean for the money these guys make) and a slap on the wrist. Absolute joke and ruined an excellent climax to the race

Seems a bit too much of a coincidence that doing this opens up the championship again to keep it interesting, instead of having Hamilton go in to a comfortable lead at the top.
Completely fucking ridiculous. Where did they get 25 seconds from? If Hamilton had sat behind Raikonnen he would still have finished far ahead of Massa so to put him behind for driving properly is nonsensical. Good luck to McLaren with their appeal.
