Habit presents a Back to Basics legend, celebrating his forthcoming Fabric compilation, alongside a rising star from Australia.

RALPH LAWSON (Back to Basics / 2020 Vision/ Fabric 33)

Resident at Back 2 Basics in Leeds for 15 years and 2020 Vision label boss Ralph Lawson has been described as the UK’s best kept secret. Having played at almost every good club under the sun he has gained the respect of most of the worlds most influential DJ’s and producers.

Regularly performing and recording under the 2020 Soundsystem moniker as a live band alongside label artists Danny Ward, Fernando Pulichino & Julian Sanza, Ralph seems to have no end of talent. None more so than his DJing ability which see’s him release the next instalment of the highly respected Fabric compilations series on March 12. It is with great pleasure we welcome him to play alongside his latest signing Kriece at this months Habit.

KRIECE (Australia / 2020 Vision)

Kriece has been a permanent fixture on Australia's party scene for over 8 years. As a DJ he has played alongside Sasha, John Digweed, Carl Cox, BT, Dave Seaman, Dave Clarke and Lee Burridge. He has played at all major Australian tours such as Ministry of Sound, Cream, Renaissance, Gatecrasher, Mixmag and DJ Mag. And most recently Creamfields Buenos Aires.

As a producer he records his own material and also has also collaborated with a wide range of artists, with releases forthcoming on Nic Fanciulli’s Saved imprint, Spinefex, Renaissance, Kung Fu Recordings and most recently to the infamous 2020 Vision Label. James Zabiela and Hernan Cattaneo amongst others have cited Kriece as being one of their favourite producers…. Things are certainly looking up. www.myspace.com/kriece
