    AEROPLANE

Today's electronic dance culture is witnessing a change in direction. From the typical house and techno sounds that have been hammering away at the scene, dance floors have started to buckle and fresh sounds are emerging. At the forefront of this renaissance are Belgium-based band Aeroplane. They strive to avoid the constraints of predictability by weaving currents of psychedelic guitars, pop keys, disco beats, catchy bass lines and melancholic waves into modern beat-driven music. Aeroplane are Stephen Fasano and Vito Deluca, a duo whose combined experience gives life and emotion to the music.

With stellar remixes for Robbie Williams, Friendly Fires, Sebastien Tellier and Grace Jones amongst others, an eagerly awaited debut album in the works and a packed upcoming festival diary including Coachella and Glastonbury this date marks a rare intimate gig for Aeroplane.

    That's a good booking like :)

Really love their mixes. Their Mixmag cd was actually pretty canny too last year.

Check oot their "Feb Chart Mix" on cloudy...

I've started to lose a little bit of faith in the housey sound most labels are knocking out at the mo, mainly because it all sounds very samey. It's refreshing to hear the kind of stuff they play out on a dancefloor.

Cant see what the fuss is about with Aeroplane, one or two of their tunes are ok like. Tracklisting for the mixmag CD looks well ropey

i really love what they do to be honest - we have been trying to book them for ages so chuffed we finally got them and cannot wait to see them rock worldies.

they just have a really fresh take on house/disco - without doubt they have their own 'sound' which is refreshing. some of the chin strokers may not be the biggest fans but i think they are really cool, fun and 'girl friendly' too.

from all the reports i have heard they are brilliant live.

will post some mixes up - their beats in space italo mix is ace. some proper e numbers.

I am wondering when "the saviour" is going to put the words mixmag, night, top, three, april, for ....into one sentence with regards to an act that has been booked by him and that mixmag have been bumming recently.

howay danny, the magazine has been out since start of the week ???

Not really sure what you on about, Dave?

I'm presuming that you are saying this has been named in the top 3 for April?

It appears that you are quite taken by DJ Mag/Mixmag since you seem to read them at WHSmith on the day of release or do you get them delivered ? :)

bizarrely , I have an army of foot soldiers who text me about the listings like as soon they are in said magazine. it amazes me how early in march the april issue is posted out to people who subscribe to it and then people start texting asking about events. (however, more often than not mixmag continually fuck up listing info).

re: dj magazine - I have no interest in a magazine telling me what a djs sock size or shoe size is or whether a night can sell out a bedroom capacity of 50 people in under 2 hours.

i am just surprised in this case that the "saviour" hasn't picked up on this net info yet

    Statement from Aeroplane regarding Sunday:

Newcastle, For the first time since Aeroplane, we missed a flight. Unfortunately it was the one taking us to your city, to play @ Habit. This was entirely our responsability and fault. We want to sincerely apologise to the promoters and all the people attending the event. A new show is being rescheduled as soon as possible. We will let you know by the end of next week. Again, all our sincere apologies.

Hopefully we can arrange suitable re-scheduled date soon. Tickets are valid for re-scheduled date as well as free entry offered on Sunday.
