FUNK D'VOID (FRANCOIS DUBOIS)

Funk D'Void is Scottish DJ and producer Lars Sandberg. Continually in demand worldwide for his blistering DJ sets, he's a critically acclaimed house and techno producer as well, with three albums to date - '1997's 'Technoir', 2001's 'Dos', and 2003's 'Volume Freak' (all on Soma) - not to mention a string of killer singles.

His remix work is stellar; New Order, Kraftwerk, Underworld, Laurent Garnier and Kevin Saunderson have all asked for his unique take on their music, with a host of others to numerous to mention.

Having relocated to Barcelona since 1999, he has found a new base for inspiration; "It was a case of 'don't think about it, just do it', and I haven't regretted it," he says of the move.

Lars has proven to be a consistent player in today's club scene and never fails to deliver powerful, emotional sessions wherever he plays. Having started Djing since 1986 (Scottish DMC finalist 2 years in a row) he shows no sign of slowing down, showing a hunger for music and interaction with international clubbing crowds that is unparalleled

More recently, he has become increasingly known for his deep house work under his Francois Dubois guise. With acclaimed remixes and originals such as his re-rub of 'Rocco - Roots 4 Acid' on Buzzin Fly and his own 'Blood' and 'I Try' on Urban Torque, Francois Dubois has made a significant impact on the global deep house scene.

Next up for Lars is a compilation with occasional production partner Phil Kieran on Ministry of Sound, a new Funk D'Void vocal house single 'Lovin' your Body' on Soma and there is also another Funk D'Void album in the works too.

He was mint last time like.

The countdown begins to my date with vast amounts of pro plus on saturday morning. Start work at 5am again Will still be there though. Gonna stay till about 2 then go home and cry and start snorting lines of coffee. The man Dvoid is indeed on fire and was really good last time round at Habit. Hope he plays things a little deeper, but i guess it will be a mix of both.

Tyson = proper trooper

I deffo want to hear some deeper Francois Dubois stuff, but wouldn't mind a bit of harder stuff as well. He has never played that harsh stuff anyway. Always more deeper, melodic techno.

Ill be gutted if he doesnt play some Dubois stuff. I need to hear I try on a big system. It has to be one of the greatest things ive ever heard. Just perfect house music. Whoever is standing next to me if he does play it, will be hugged and told that i love them
