Habit Birthday Part 2 - BOXING DAY AT WHQ

Habit 1st Birthday Part Two - Boxing Day at World Headquarters.

On Boxing Day we return to World Headquarters for a very special evening where our residents take over in true Habit style. Intimate surroundings with the sole focus on quality house music and a party atmosphere that we have become synonymous for.

Having welcomed established and upcoming artists such as Desyn Masiello, King Unique, Silicone Soul, Funk D’Void, Alex Smoke and Ben Watt to grace the Habit turntables we felt it only fair to give something back to the people that have made 2005 such a memorable year for us.

Playing out the last of our 1st Birthday Celebrations and shaking off the excesses of Xmas will ensure the last Habit outing of 2005 will be something to remember…

    Scott Udberg
2005 has seen Scott play alongside peers Desyn Masiello, 16B and King Unique, as well as warming up for Paolo Mojo at Shindig in November. Known for moulding existing tracks into versions of his own as well as producing material that has seen support from DJ’s such as Nic Fanciulli (Skylark/Buick Project), Paolo Mojo and James Talk to name but a few.

    Mark Johnson
Boasting a music collection spanning so many styles, one thing that cannot be said is that Mark is easily pigeonholed. Having warmed up for artists as varied as Fatboy Slim, Kenny Hawkes and 16B as well as sharing a bill on more than one occasion for Arcane shows that Mark is far from a DJ that can be branded as playing one style of music.

    Simon Quick
Known to switch from deep jacking rhythms to fat electro basslines. Si’s sets are known to vary in approach yet always involve his trademark FX trickery.
Having played Resistance and warm ups for Wax:On, his London jaunts have taken him to Resonance and The Ministry Of Sound playing the same bill as Derrick Carter , Kenny Hawkes and Phil Weeks.

    Ali Finlay
Twice IDJ competition winner Ali Finlay continues to impress all with his DJing abilities. His DJ sets see him switching effortlessly from deep to tech to progressive grooves, all mixed with great skill. Being a regular at Resistance in Newcastle and continuing to deliver some outstanding promo mixes, Ali is often regarded as one of Newcastle's finest DJ’s.

PLEASE NOTE: The first 150 people who attend Part One of our Birthday with Ben Watt this Friday at The Other Rooms, will receive a FREE TICKET for this event on Boxing Day.

Really looking forward to this now, gonna be a lot of fun. It is a Birthday/Boxing Day Party, so expect some of the best tracks in house, electro, tech-house and progressive of the last year, tunes that have rocked Habit and a sprinkling of classics.

Some tracks from the last year or so that could be getting a run-out :

    Ethan - In My Heart
    Alex Neri - Housetrack
    Absym - Future Funk
Yoshimoto - Do What You Do
    Pryda - Aftermath
Suicide Sports Club - I don't know (King Unique remix)

Also very pleased to announce Antony Daly (Suono) and Lee Bolton will also be doing the warm up at Clear bar from 7.30pm. Daly is gonna be digging deep again and playing an old skool set, so expect some classics from late eighties/early nineties. Last time Daly did an old skool set back in March, he had the place jumping. It will be the perfect warm up for World Headquarters.
