I love G n' R any comeback should be quashed imo there was a time and a place unfortunatly its gone...possibly on the Night Train
they died COMPLETELY after use your illusion. i remember 'appetite for destruction' coming out when i was at school - i was 11. THE album i will be buried with. some of their early raw stuff from the LA clubs that was recorded in 86 is amazing, whole lotta rosie, shadow of your love - axl's voice is like a screeching banshee - awesome i even saw them live in june/july '91, wembley stadium, they recorded the video for 'live and let die' there
I was playing air guitar with a cane to Welcome To The Jungle on Saturday night, complete with Slash-esque hat and sunglasses awesomeness
  appetite for destruction was THE G'n'R album to have like! led to me getting my 1st tattoo they played gateshead in 1992 with Faith No More supporting. 2 of my favourite bands in the same place on the same day!!! and chris, slash is NOT over-rated like, he's simply awesome!!
granted appetite for destruction is a pretty good album. theres a hell of alot of better guitarists than Slash. Very Overrated! im just very picky tho!
David Gilmour, Paul Kossof, Peter Green, Prince, Ritchie Blackmore, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Beck, Jimmy page, eddie van halen Alot of guitarists who have been and gone can rip the shreds out of Slash like. Check out Gilmours Solo from 'Echoes' on the Live at Pompeii DVD, will be on Youtube somewhere
Comfortably Numb is a fantastic Solo, was originally a solo done for his first solo album but was never used. Should listen to some early 'Yardbirds' stuff. Some fantasitc Guitar playing.
