they died COMPLETELY after use your illusion.

i remember 'appetite for destruction' coming out when i was at school - i was 11. THE album i will be buried with.

some of their early raw stuff from the LA clubs that was recorded in 86 is amazing, whole lotta rosie, shadow of your love - axl's voice is like a screeching banshee - awesome

i even saw them live in june/july '91, wembley stadium, they recorded the video for 'live and let die' there

David Gilmour, Paul Kossof, Peter Green, Prince, Ritchie Blackmore, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Beck, Jimmy page, eddie van halen

Alot of guitarists who have been and gone can rip the shreds out of Slash like.

Check out Gilmours Solo from 'Echoes' on the Live at Pompeii DVD, will be on Youtube somewhere:king:

I hate long drawn out guitar solos! A guitar solo should be no longer than about 30 seconds.

Comfortably Numb is a fantastic Solo, was originally a solo done for his first solo album but was never used.

Should listen to some early 'Yardbirds' stuff. Some fantasitc Guitar playing.
