Riton and Ben Fat Trucker are two stalwarts of London’s long established and ever growing electronic/rock/dance scene. Separately the pair have long histories of releasing records and DJ’ing. Riton released 2 albums on Grand Central and the Fat Truckers LP came out on Gigolo records in 2003.

When the pair began Gucci Sound system they soon realised they were able to bring much more to their sets.

"We quickly realised the freedom it gave us to add other elements to our sets. We’re using our own edits, Ableton and live FX. We definitely push the boundaries a lot more with the types of music we play , doing G.S.S. is a lot more about expanding what's played on dancefloors, not sticking to what’s perceived as popular, I guess getting back towards the spirit of underground dance music”

The pairs London club night “Druzzis Baltimore Rave club” has been running for 4 years now and has included guests of the calibre of Tiefschwarz, James Murphy, Weatherall, Ivan Smagge, 2 many DJ's, The Rapture, Erol Alkan and Optimo.

"We loved the ethos of putting the cream of the world’s DJ’s in intimate environments, where the crowd our on top of the DJ box. And the DJ’s loved it too!”
Druzzi’s is now enjoying a monthly residency at Shoreditch's legendary 'T Bar', one of DJ Magazines top 50 clubs in the world 2007.

After cementing their production reputation with remixes for Tiefschwarz and Soulwax the boys became regulars at Fabric, Bugged Out and across Europe. Their debut solo release “Acarpenter” came out on the Bugged Out label last year to rave reviews. Andrew Weatherall, Optimo and James Murphy all caned it. In fact Murphy, The LCD Sound System / DFA main man, liked it so much he decided to license it for a re-release on DFA records adding a stunning Joakim remix on the B-Side. More releases are lined up on DFA imminently and the pair returned the favour to Murphy by remixing Time to Get Away by LCD Soundsystem

The DJ duo haven’t stopped playing out though, and the association with DFA, a label renowned for pushing the envelope in terms of dance music, has meant their style of DJng is getting more attention than ever
"Everyone's talking about the Gucci Sound System. We love Ben and Henry!!"- Time out magazine

,,,,, Anyone that was there when we had Riton play for us at 'The Other Rooms' earlier this year will tell you how he almost ripped the club a new fire exit he was so good, so expect TWICE the pressure when the Gucci Soundsystem lands again. Soooooo, that'll be June sorted then aye? More details and guests for this will be drip fed in the next few days.

(Wait till you see what we've got for July,,,, it's that good, it's not even funny!!!!!)

    Peace out y'all.
