proper writers wouldnt do owt on someones home or small businesses.

you might get "jarra lasses on a minni minni mission y2k6" on your garage door, but not "proper" graf.

lol aye, i like seeing good graffity like and the people that do it are really talented but the only way they get good "ON THE STREET" is by starting off on tags and working there way up 2 better tags and so on and so forth.

theres sum decent framed stuff framed and hung on the walls beside chili road metro station

I love grafitti. Been to quite a few legal events and view some inspiring pieces brought to life!

Not sure I like dubs, or large chromes for the sake of 'doing damage' on a mass scale!

Much rather have the cash for cleaning such items turned into ticket barriers to stop having to pay for you theiving lot on the metro!

Why not invest that money into metro ticket systems so that I can avoid paying alltogether at little risk to my pocket? Surely it would be money better spent buying me a ticket?

    This worlds gone mad.

Will it be funded by the money made if everyone stops graffiting?

If not I'll just carry on the free metros thanks.

some of the grafitti in european cities like rome, paris and barcelona is mint. might be vandalism to some but at least it has a tiny bit of passion and effort behind it.

the skank scrawled on peoples fences up throckley/newburn way where i grew up is garbage tho - who cares if kylie got fingered while 'recked' on thunderbird behind the co-op in '9T8' - not me.

    This Kylie sounds familiar!

For local graffiti talent I always liked Zee and Part2, for global, I really like Mode 2's figure work.

www.grafitti.org has some great (and some equally sheite) work within it's pages.

The proper stuff looks good when its done in the right place. When I used to get the metroo years ago there was always a load on the back of a building facing the metro tracks just before the gateshead statium stop. But all the tagging on walls, bus stops, houses and walls and stuff looks terrible and makes the place look a mess.

If it's done well in a decent place it can be good.

The vast majority is just vandalism though.
