Got this in an email Movida Corona is a national tour which sees a series of hi-profile Corona Extra parties across the UK which each include a heat of the Movida Corona international DJ tournament. This year the North East's regional Heats will be held at Camp David and Cosmic Ballroom. Both venues are firmly established as housing some of the best nights & DJ talent in the North East, including Habit, Nice, Curves, Good Greef & Freaky Dancing. Camp David, brought to you by the people behind Nice and North, also benefits from a newly refurbished roof terrace, the perfect place to while away your lazy Summer afternoons with a Corona & some tasty morsels from the BBQ... The mini-heats will be held at Camp David every Wednesday from 25th April to 30th May, with each DJ playing a 30 minute set. The winner of each mini-heat will win 2 cases of Corona Extra and entry into the Regional Final at Cosmic Ballroom, while the runner-up wins entry to the final. The winner and runner-up of the Regional Final will then move forward to the UK Final at Ministry of Sound, London. Prizes at this level include a mountain bike, a Suzuki Moped and entry into the World Final! You will then be assigned a time and date to compete and your picture and information will be included on a flyer to promote the events.
