    The thoughts of cars driving around with cameras taking pictures of everything and anything sends shivers down my spine.

    I really dont believe this is being done for 'fun' ... SOMEONE is getting something out of this, and probably the kinds of people we dont want knowing intimately about where we live and what our streets look like.

    Its a shame, since i work in IT and im facinated by everything 'techie' ... but this just worries me.

    So you’re not allowed to photograph railway property because you could be a terrorist conducting reconnaissance but Google can publish interactive photos on the web of every rail and tube station in Greater London, not to mention all major landmarks and office buildings?
    Maybe it’s because terrorists don’t have the internet.
    Or maybe it’s because terrorism has for years now been used as a red herring to justify banning any activity or civil liberty that slightly irritates the smooth running of the civil service and police force.
    These people need reminding that they are our servants, not the other way round.
