Goodgreef @ Tall Trees Saturday 17th November

November is proving to be a fantastic month for Goodgreef, their seventh birthday celebrations ringing around the globe. Their regular appearance at the flabbergastingly good Tall Trees bursts with quality this month as the cream of international trance talent flies in for an appearance.

Headlining is Goodgreef’s own superstar Alex Kidd. The Kidd has been making waves in hard dance for a few years now off the back of his GG residency, being just as good at playing warm melodic trance at the beginning of the night as he is banging out the hard stuff right at the end. But in recent years he has come to the forefront because he can deliver on a large scale, his trademark blend of the most cuttingly quick hard trance is regularly infused with euphoric breakdowns, hard edged techno grooves and even progressive licks. No-one knows or understands the clubbers at GG better and he’s bound to destroy the floor once more.

He’s joined by the Belgian sensation Fred Baker. The last five years has seen this man go global in a big way, although he made his name in the late nineties with massive tracks produced under his Groovezone and Y-Traxx monikers, he came through as an international star to the point where he is now a regular on the global circuit. While his deep, progressive and melodic trance anthems have continued to draw responses from DJs and clubbers across the globe, it’s been him behind the decks that have given him his huge appeal, playing to thousands of clubbers week after week. He raises the roof time and time again for GG and this time will be no different.

Following is John O’Callaghan, the Irish whizz kid who has been tearing up clubs and floors across the globe. One of trance’s rapidly rising stars, his records have been supported by all the big guns, his latest vocal smash ‘Big Sky’ a tune that the man himself Armin van Buuren said he was ‘totally in love with’, so much so that he signed it instantly to his fabled Armada imprint! As a DJ he continues to impress and excite, another spell-binding GG appearance awaits! The Dutch duo Bas & Ram are next, the tag team that have blown away expectations back home in their native Netherlands on account of their unique stamp on hard trance. Possessing a style that they say is the “perfect blend of energy, bass, rhythm and melody”; the pair have quickly become one of the most talked about partnerships across Europe. Their signature sound of euphoric, bass heavy stomping trance has already lit up the boxes of GG’s fav DJs, now it’s their turn to do it themselves!

The last part if none other than GG’s resident bosh vixen, Tylor Leigh! You know the drill with Tylor by now, her irrepressible Merseyside charm bringing in the beats thick and fast with scorching hard dance and mesmerizingly euphoric trance. She’s bound to get things moving in the right direction early on!

Mark Maitland and Toddy keep the grooves pumping in the house room – both men have had great 2007s for Goodgreef and are now firmly part of the family!
