What is with the main room description?

"tech & hard trance". Sounds like my idea of hell, what happened to promise being branded as a prog & trance night.

I hope mark doesn't ask every DJ to keep their "techy box" handy.

Is there going to be a door policy?

 But that's impossible. Charvers may not spoil a normal night to you but, for anyone that loved the original Promise crowd/crack/atmosphere - They do!

And, some of that line-up is just encouraging them.....

personally, i bet the music wouldnt be too bad, except for my taste, maybe scot project - but it's more the venue and the crowd it would attract :(

What is every1 like? Loads of people of this board went to the last 2 easter events at ikon and were really good! Why does every1 think they are so high standard and mint all of sudden? Because youz just aren't at all?

exactly, bunch of stuck up cunts imo

if you love promise as much as yous make you, you'd support it through thick & thin.... think of promise as a life-long friend.... when they having a rough time would you just abandon also..?

erm what are youse 2 on about, i dont think im mint for starters and i went to promise for a good while and really enjoyed it the way it was, when it was at foundation and had a good crowd. How the fuck am i stuck up for not wanting to go to IKON the biggest known shit hole in the north east, i dont love trance anywhere near as much as i did when i first went out so if i did go to a trance night it would be for the atmosphere, somethng i very much doubt ikon will have. And another point Mark made a total twat of himself by going on about the last promise etc and imo played everyone for a fool, so why should i line his pockets.

its as simple as that :)

You are getting far too defensive it wasn't directed at anybody inparticular...This actual event has been at ikon the last 2 years though? Why are people acting like its a bad move and so bad? It was at IKON when promise was doing absolutely class and no1 complained then so why is every1 now? Sounds to me you just have a problem with Deakin mate.

so you are saying that if deakin hadnt pulled that little misleading ploy you may still have went?

at the end of the day, deakin wants to put the night back on, so get behind it and show the support you claim to have, that post smacks of sour plums

imo the venue is what you make it, so if u go in there thinking your going to get mugged, looking at everyone like they're criminals, you can attract bother.......thats the way it is........ i have been in plenty times with no bother at all, albeit when i was younger...................there are just as many people with drugs in their pockets/mentality to burst bottles off your head in the so-called better bars

if you go anywhere in the town with an elitist attitude itll get picked on........
