Good video encoding for the web

At the moment we are using Premiere and I'm just exporting the files and Windows Media files...but they don't seem to have the quality that other sites seem to be getting.

Plus at the moment we are steaming the clips properly but I am thinking about changing to have them progressively download...anyone got any knowledge on this....pro's and con's?? A lot of people complain that their connections aren't fast enough and the steaming clips play with sound but no picture....I expect have them progressively download would take longer but avoid this?

Here's a link to what we're doing at the moment:

(click on the view video button at to the right).

I feel that the quality could be a lot better I have seen other sites with FAR better quality and faster downloads!

Any advice would be appreciated! :)
