Good makes of Golf clubs i can buy??? Im going to start playing golf but i havent got a clue about which makes are decent and are going to last me. Im looking to spend between £80 - £150 Does anyone know of decent makes i should be looking for???
Ive had a look but dont know wot makes are decent. Theres plenty to choose from but i need sum 1 who knows the crack with clubs to help me out.
I use Titliest DCI irons and Callaway metal woods Go for a cavity backed iron and not a straight blade. Makes it easier for starting. You'll get a decent set 2nd hand.
I would get a decent 2nd hand pair mate When i played i used ping isi irons and had a ping isi driver
Couple of not bad Wilson deals... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18963&item=7149180981&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1519&item=7149983376&rd=1 Stick to main brands like Callaway, Titliest, Ping, Taylor Made, MaGreggor, Wilson, Mizuno. Steer away from Donnay, Hippo, Dunlop - the shite brands.
Local pro shops always have second hand sets available and you can normally have a hit with them. I don't know many of the clubs local though.
i think my dad got a couple of decent sets l;ying about somewhere that he will want rid off, not sure of the make tho. make isnt important if your just testing the water with the sport
i use;; cleveland launcher driver cleveland launcher fairway wood cleveland ta6 irons 3-9 cleveland ta6 wedges (pitch, sand) but im getting some callaways soon if you're wanting to start off, try something like "ping" they make steady irons ...
Go American Golf I'll find out where it is exactly, but I think it's in Gosforth somewhere. We always pass it on our way to the course at Gosforth, so it must be there somewhere(ish). My mate got a full set for 200 quid, quite good quality aswell considering, they're only 200 brick like.
