I reckon the phone you saw on Ebay just happened to have the o2 badge on it and someone's title'd it wrong.

X1 might be the model of another brand - as far as i'm aware they don't make phones?

o2 is a service like vodafone, orange and t-mobile etc..

correct me if i'm wrong.. (rob!)

    its buggy as hell.

    keeps switching off.

    call quality is poor.

    camera is only average.

    phone build quality is poor.

    etc :)

best flip fone out atm is the new Sharp GX 30.

Sooooooooo true! I bought one of these and I SOOOO wish I hadn't!

The "keeps switching off" point I wouldn't agree with until tonight when it...kept switching off

The camera is CRAP, really slow response from when you press to take the picture and when it actually takes it, and you MUST be in bright light, it gets crap when you have any sort of dim light.

It's also SLOW as fuck! I text people and I'm finding myself typing half way through the text and on the screen it's only just showing the first line, so if I make a typo I find out a while after, and so have to go right back to correct it!

Standard ringtones are shit, embarrasingly shit actually I always keep it on silent!

    *However*

    - It does look nice!
    - If you're already on O2 and you get this phone they give you quite a bit of credit with it for upgrading. I got £35 put on, simply for buying a new phone and staying with O2! It's lasting me ages!
    - Though above points are true, it's not completely crap, it does what it needs to do, but I've seen other phones that are in the same price range and go way beyond the capabilities of the O2 X1. Do NOT buy this phone!

My advice is don't get a flip phone.

What do you want you phone to do? which of these features are you bothered about?

    camera
    good quality camera
    bluetooth
    web browser
    email
    msn messenger
    mp3 playback and storage
    very small
    predictive text

Might help someone (prob sleepy) suggest a good phone for you.

What is everyone's obsession with small phones? I bloody hate the things, so easy to lose, so hard to use.

I would personally pay extra for a normal sized model of a phone, relative to a micro mini "sim card +screen" model. Not saying i's have a brick tho :p

To get to the point I am obtusely rambling towards here, the Nokia 3650 and its (smaller :E ) successor the 6600, have spot on functionality IMO. Run symbian, have Bluetooth, good quality video with sound, spot on still quality + night vision mode perfect for pics in dark clubs, play MP3s / wavs / record sound, use MP3s etc as ringtones.

And a really unique and easy to use ( once u get used to it ) set of buttons.

Not very small and not a flip fone tho :)
