    Going up to Glasgow on October 22nd for Paul Van Dyk playing the Arches, was wondering does anyone know if there are any good bars near the venue itself for a good drink or will we have to go miles away from the venue to find some????? :D

    There's a fairly large bar just around the corner...can't remember what it's called tho???

    Cheap enough drinks and nice enough bar tho! :up:

    Theres a massive Wetherspoons round the corner which is cheap and pretty good.
    Thats the only place we went the last time before the Arches mate, I would get there pretty early too, the queues are :eek:

    Wetherspoons sounds good to me, cheap drinks and within walking distance of the venue. The queues are huge getting into the Arches ??? hmmmm what time would you reccomend i get there for then mate ? also how hot does it get in the club itself ?:)

    I'm not sure what time the doors open etc but there was massive queues at least 25 minutes before in January(Tiesto), I would imagine Van Dyk being equally as busy to be honest mate.
    From what I remember the temperature was fine in the club:)

    There's loads of boozers about there but no real pre club style bars though the arches bar usually has a DJ.

    Crystal Palace is good for a few cheap doubles before the madness and the atmosphere used to be buzzing on the big nights.

    Head round the corner to Queen St (where Archaos is) if your looking for some of the more up market type bars that are still close by, though there nothing too fancy, it is Glasgow! :D ;)
