Absolutely and totally floored by this.

It was literally the HIGHLIGHT of my whole year, looking forward to this.

    And now, fucked.

Another sad sign of the times. Our lives being increasingly affected by the ever tightening control of our 'masters'.

Should never of moved location it was far too uncommercial to last at the same venue as Homelands.

Sad too see one of the last few totaly noncommercial motivated festivals go.

I'm surprised they pulled the plug like this.

I'd rather they canned headliners, or even took on sponsors or made arrangements with artists to delay payment .... anything, anything but this!?! Its almost unbelieveable.

Think it will be more to do with unrealstic council and police demands that mean the version of the festival that the authorities want will be nothing like what it used to be, so the organisers don't see the point in keeping it going.

Think the general jist is that the council were really up for it and eager to work with them but they've already applied for the licence and got it then the police have turned round and demanded a hell of a lot more policing which means re applying to the council which they cant do in time. Sort of a little loophole they've found to doom Glade, probably forever..

this is a tactic increasingly used by the police to close small festivals

Welcome to Great Britain - Only government sanctioned passtimes are allowed.

Once the means are invented, you will be getting scanned, checked, drug tested and monitored constantly.

Heading that way with the Daily Mail headline if you have nothing to hide why be worried.

Also music must only be listerned to at 90db at all times.

People are now brought up to celebrate sharing every aspect of their lives with everyone else.

With 'terrorism' and other media hypes over real and non issues constantly rammed down our throats, everyone is too jaded and apathetical to dare rise up to basic civil liberties being very gradually eaten away to nothing.

Its amazing to think you cant have a party in a field anymore, without the state coming down on you like a ton of bricks.

    Twats.

Key policies from the Lib-Tory coalition would be welcome.

    not just small festivals forks

they come late in the day when the promoters have little time to sort it out

make it look like a simple request is being made but in reality tying you up in red tape to fuck the event

What will the effect of the new Government have on things like licences for parties? Seen as the previous Government allowed parties like Habit Warehouse to happen and seemed to be going right in that respect, I know it's down to the council but obviously it has to come from the top?
