    "Girly Trance"

Am i the only one who finds so called "girly trance" a pile of cack?? I mean how can u slate the likes of Ian Van Dahl and Lasgo, when u listen to Ocean Lab-Clear Blue Water or Sky Falling Down or whatever its called?

    Controversial? probably:D

I find it quite difficult to find decent vocal trance these days.
    These are good though :
    Revolution 9 - The weapon
St Ettiene - Action (tiesto mix)
Conjure one - Sleep(max graham mix)
Junkie XL - Beauty never fades
    Solarstone - Solarcoaster(Midway mix)

Theres a few more but i'm hungover and feeling ill today and its effecting me bigstyle

I dont like Sky Falls Down. Dunno why people bang on about it.

Vocals on trance are generally shit. Thats not to say there isnt good trance with vocals, because there is. I just think its quite rare. Its always just a standard average bland female voice singing a completely uninspiring emotionless tune with absolutley no grasp of melody. . . . . and people love it. :spangled:

female vocals are a big part of trance, and there are loads of good vocal tunes around.

roc project - never (tiesto mix)
iio - at the end (scumfrog mix)
tears from the moon (hybrid mix/tiesto mix)
calling your name (neo and farina mix)

    a few newer ones.

i even like some of the cheesier stuff. im a big fan of boys of summer, and i think the vocal on lasgo - alone is amazing.

    Re: "Girly Trance"

SIMPLE- no thought in charty crap, the influence is money n boshing delayed beats that 15year olds find amazing, thats why it sells. " gimme a reason, to release another song, gimme a taste ov muny! n ill just keep waffling on"

OCEANLAB- clear blue water, sum1s gota provide us with at unage that can lift us up outa the depressing migin dark corners ov the club or our lives and let us know everything is ok, and will be, if we believe we are like, angels or summet....we are invincible, no1 can bring us down"
"leave behind ur fears (thoughtless, evil vein bleeding tunes) please believe u will not faulter, theres no danger here, u can breath inclear blue water" oh, how beautiful..........

Its a battle ov GUD AND EVIL, there are PLENTY more evil and crap tunes than ian van dahl too!!!
If u noticed what other tracks oceanlab/above and beyond made,ud see those 2 tunes are just one "floaty" area of the great uplifting tracks they make!!

If someone wants to slate hard house, let them, its their opinion, they re entitled to it… my opinion of girly trance would be floaty trance with a female vocal… someone elses might not be the same. I aint gonna start swearing cos someone starts slating hard house, which they do all the time.
