    Girly question

    It's not a hair question this time .... it's massage !!

I'm trying to book a spa day as a treat. There are a number of different types of massage sessions on offer, but i'm not sure which to go for ....

    -Aromatherapy Massage
    -Indian Head Massge
    -Swedish Head Massage
    -Elemis Deep Tissue Massage
    -Aroma Stone Therapy (?)

Indian Head Massage sounds good, but what about the others? are they all very similar??
I'm looking for a relaxation type of thing, not the sporty type.

Any massage experts out there ??? :D

Why is this just for the girls? :spangled:

Go for a hot stones if you can - it massages at least 10 times deeper. Amazing.

I slept for about 14 hours the night I had one.

ive done almost all of those @ college

indian head massage - its ok, works on the head/back/neck and shoulders.

aroma - really really nice, the therapist will blend the different oils used int he massage together for what u want out of the treatment like relaxation. works on almost every part of the body including the head

sweedish head - not ever heard of it, theres a sweedish BODY massage, really nice but aromatherapy is nicer

deep tissue - more for people who have very bad muscle tension, more like a sports massages not as relaxing

hot stone - this is incorpurated into a sweedish massage so half way through the massge u will get the stone put on to help balence out your body's energys to make u feel more balenced/happier etc

depending on where you go (the salon or spa) and the products that particular place specifies in, the massage will always be a little different to another salons massage if they use a different range of products

from experience i would say if u can afford it the aromatherapy one :)

my college salon does them for £10

the students work in it but we have to be qualified in the treatments we do and if theyre not done to a professional standard we're not allowed to work in there :)

Sasha, when I got hot stones it was actually heated volcanic stones that were used (instead of hands/fingers) with loads of oils to massage my back. It was a really deep massage.

I had a chinese massage back when i was in Shenzen in March..... it was one of the best (but intense) things ive ever had. Fingers jammed in all joints, muscles kneaded to the point of pain..... but when i walked out i felt amazing.

And it only cost 6 quid for a full hour. Oh yes.

Not on your list but i felt the need to give my single professional massage experience to you.

Thanks for the advice everyone ... I think I'll go for the aromatherapy one. I'd like to try all the others at your place though Sasha :D
Chinese massage sounds good, but Shenzen is a bit too far to travel ;)
